Terms of Service

Effective date: May 2026 · Version 1.0

Summary: Wipeboard Education is a classroom collaboration tool for K-12 teachers and students. Teachers create accounts and are responsible for their classrooms. Students do not create independent accounts. Student data is protected under FERPA and COPPA. AI features are for teachers only.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Wipeboard Education account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Data Processing Agreement. If you are accepting on behalf of a school or district, you represent that you have authority to bind that institution.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a teacher account. Students access the service through login codes provided by their teacher — students do not create independent accounts and are not parties to these terms in their individual capacity.

2. What Wipeboard Education is

Wipeboard Education is a classroom project board platform that provides project boards for student collaboration, student login codes that allow classroom access without email addresses, a parent transparency view, AI-powered board building tools for teachers, and teacher oversight with an audit trail.

Wipeboard Education is not a learning management system (LMS), gradebook, student information system (SIS), or assessment platform. It is a collaboration and project management tool adapted for classroom use.

3. Not a substitute for professional judgment

Wipeboard Education is a tool to support teaching. Nothing in the platform constitutes educational advice or a substitute for the professional judgment of licensed educators. AI-generated content is a starting point for teacher review — not authoritative curriculum.

4. Teacher responsibilities

By creating an account, you as the teacher agree to:

  • Accept the Data Processing Agreement, which constitutes the school's designation of Wipeboard Education as a school official under FERPA
  • Ensure your school has authorized the use of educational technology with your students, particularly for students under 13
  • Ensure parents have been notified per your school's standard EdTech notification process
  • Enter only the minimum necessary student data — display names (first name + last initial) and grade level only
  • Keep student login codes secure and distribute them only to the intended students
  • Delete student records at the end of the academic year or when a student leaves your classroom
  • Not use Wipeboard Education for any purpose other than educational classroom collaboration
  • Not enter student social security numbers, full legal names, health information, or any data beyond first name and last initial

5. Student data and parental consent

For students under 13, you represent that you have obtained the necessary school authority or direct parental consent. By enrolling under-13 students and confirming the COPPA acknowledgment, you are making this representation.

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with your school's or district's policies regarding student data and educational technology.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Enter fabricated, false, or misleading student information
  • Use Wipeboard Education for purposes unrelated to classroom education
  • Share student login codes with individuals who are not the intended students
  • Attempt to access another school's or classroom's data
  • Circumvent the platform's privacy or access controls
  • Use the platform in any way that violates FERPA, COPPA, or applicable state student privacy laws
  • Resell or sublicense access without written permission
  • Use automated tools or bots to access the platform

7. AI features

AI features are available to teachers only. AI-generated content (board structures, task suggestions, task descriptions) is a draft for your review — not a finished curriculum product. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before publishing it to students.

AI features use only generic educational context — no student PII is ever sent to any AI provider. AI features are disabled for classrooms with students under 13 and cannot be enabled for those classrooms.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Wipeboard Education offers the following plans:

  • Classroom Plan: $12/month per teacher — 1 classroom, up to 35 students, all features including AI board builder
  • School Plan: custom annual contract — multiple teachers, admin dashboard, centralized billing
  • District Plan: volume pricing — district-wide deployment, dedicated onboarding, SLA

All plans include a 14-day trial period. No credit card is required to start. Payment is processed by Stripe. Classroom Plan subscriptions are monthly and may be cancelled at any time. We do not provide refunds for partial months. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice.

9. Trial period

The 14-day trial gives full access to all Classroom Plan features. At the end of the trial, your account transitions to a read-only state. Your data is preserved. To continue, subscribe to a paid plan.

If you do not subscribe within 60 days of trial expiration, your account and all associated data may be permanently deleted. We will send reminder emails before any data deletion. One trial per teacher.

10. Data ownership and export

You own all content you create in Wipeboard Education. Student completion records are education records under FERPA. You can export your classroom data at any time from the classroom settings page.

Upon account deletion or cancellation, you have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. This permanently deletes your classroom data, student records, and boards.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Serious violations involving student data may result in immediate suspension.

12. Disclaimers

Wipeboard Education is provided as-is. We make no warranties about the reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular educational purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remergify LLC's liability for any claim related to Wipeboard Education shall not exceed the amount paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
